Traditionally our club evening is on a Wednesday (with a few exceptions) and we are lucky enough to have suitable club premises at our disposal, which we share with another club. Club activities include film evenings, lectures with slides or video, by Federation and other speakers, games and eating evenings, picnics as well as organised visits to various places of interest. These activities are highlighted in June by the Federation Weekend (together with other clubs around Switzerland), Braderie (summer fête) activities at the end of June and our own Christmas party around mid-December.

The English Club is run by a committee of nine members, headed by our Vice-President Kenneth Woodcock. (At present we have no president, following Mr. Werner Koch's tragic death). The committee does its best to provide the framework for a varied and attractive programme, also integrating the youngsters into sub-committees for certain tasks.
